I am a seasoned futures trader with a passion for the markets, currently specializing in futures trading, and founded Aydelotte Trading to share insights on disciplined trading strategies, risk management in forex trading, and stock trading techniques. My journey began in 2007 when I dove into the forex markets with high enthusiasm but little initial success.

Trading forex back then was challenging for several reasons. The forex markets are highly liquid and accessible, making it easy to get started with minimal capital—resources around cash flow and currency pairs drew me in deeply, and I probably spent too much time analyzing major pairs like EUR/USD and GBP/USD early on. However, the major currency pairs often move in tandem, which can limit the number of independent trading opportunities and reduce the frequency of setups in day trading or swing trading. In my opinion, forex trading demands a slower pace: you need to work patiently and allow trades to develop fully using technical analysis. Entries can be tested multiple times, which makes it incredibly hard to commit to waiting and seeing how the trade plays out without second-guessing yourself—key lessons in trading psychology.

These experiences taught me the value of patience, risk control, and emotional discipline—lessons that now form the core of my futures trading philosophy, applicable to stock trading, options trading, and commodity trading as well.
